During this time all the players including the umpires were lying on the ground. The ICC shared the photo of this event on its Twitter handle. Along with this also, such an event has happened once before in the match between the two countries.

In this match, Sri Lanka gave the target of 204 runs to win South Africa. The African team decided to bowl first before winning the toss. After that Sri Lanka's entire team were all out for 203 runs in 49.3 overs. Kusal Perera and Aishwarya Fernando scored 30-30 runs for them. For South Africa, Dwayne Pretoria and Chris Morris took 3-3 wickets. South Africa beat Sri Lanka by 9 wickets

It happened like two years ago

This is not the first time that the game has to be stopped due to the presence of bees in the match between the two teams. Two years ago, in February 2017, a one-day match was played in Johannesburg between the two teams. At that time thousands of bees had come to the ground, after which the match was delayed for about an hour. In this match the South African team was playing in pink dress.
